Land Rover was building very capable off road vehicle well before
they came into the North American market with their fancy soccer
mom SUV's that had a 1% chance of leaving the asphalt roads of
suburbia. The first generations of the Series I, II and III are
considered by many to be some of the most proficient on the
two-track or off road terrain.
We are thrilled to bring to market this remarkable nut and bolt
rotisserie restoration with very no expense sparred. The car was
full restored with proper NOS parts and equipment and if not
available, items were restored or sourced from proper parts
suppliers. The body was removed and dissembled and restored with
factory correct paint and parts. The body is in superb condition,
the electronics are correct and the features properly mounted as
they were from the factory. The interior is complete with custom
floor liners and gorgeous chocolate brown leather bench seat in
front and dual jump seats in the back. Fully restored seat braces
and brackets are in great condition and the custom soft top roof
and side curtains complete the stellar look. Engine bay is very
impressive with engine out and properly serviced and installed to
original specs. The pictures speak louder than our description ever
could and it is extremely apparent that there is A LOT of money
invested in this high end restoration.
Driving these is always unique and there is no hiding from the
crowds when you park. With a warm up of the glow plugs and some
patience the vehicle comes alive and is ready to hustle thru the
gears and begging for you to engage the 4x4 Hi or Lo setting. Since
this one is so darn nice we didn't dare take it off the black top
but the 4x4 does engage properly and is evident that it is working
properly. Behind the wheel the horn, lights, wipers, gauges and
turn signals work properly and provide the driver with good
feedback.
The market has spoken on vintage SUV's across the board and the
Land Rover Series IIA is one of the most distinctive and sought
after. These are only continuing to rise in price and becoming very
difficult to source or find the right and proper parts and
features. You will be proud of this piece of jewelry for your
collection or to enjoy at your favorite beach house, cabin or
lodge. We are proud to pass this along to the next owner as the
previous owner was very proud of it as well and treated it to an
