This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette Roadster was number 1,563 out of 3,640
produced during the second year of Corvette production. With such
low production numbers in 1954, these cars were essentially hand
built automobiles which makes them some of the most sought after C1
Corvettes today. This particular Corvette comes with its NCRS
paperwork and was a past winner of the Duntov Mark of Excellence
Award. Under the hood is a 235 Cubic Inch Blue Flame Inline 6
Cylinder Motor with 3 2-Barrel Carter Carburetors which at the time
of production pushed out 150 horsepower. Anybody can drive this
highly collectible '54 Corvette because the Blue Flame motor is
mated to the ever reliable Powerglide Automatic Transmission. Like
all other Corvettes produced during this time, the fiberglass body
on this Chevrolet Corvette is finished in the iconic Polo White
paint that shows particularly well. The chrome and brightwork on
the car also present especially well. The 4 wide whitewall tires
with correct wheelcovers that this Corvette sits on finishes the
exterior look. The red vinyl bucket seat interior is also is
excellent shape and contributes to the iconic look of this C1
Corvette. A correct dash with AM Radio and factory gauges also adds
to the stock look of the car. The first C-1 Corvettes will always
be in high demand. This is one you can jump in and drive and most
likely never meet yourself coming down the road as many of these
cars are in private collections or museums and never get driven.
