Very rare and original red on red,1958 Corvette roadster.
Frame-off with
correct rare and desirable 283 c.i. dual quad engine, producing 270
horsepower along with a Powerglide automatic transmission.
This 1958 Corvette is very special with its one year only simulated
hood louvers, 2 chrome trunk suspenders and fender spears, 9 tooth
grill with chrome trim painted to match, removable hardtop.
A meticulous frame-off restoration was started 10 years ago in
Florida and began with a very original, well preserved Florida car.
Even prior to restoration, the frame was very clean and the car had
a great body, with nice lines and panel fit. Almost every piece of
the chrome is original, is very well preserved and in great
condition. The paint on the car shows well with iconic white coves
and side trim. The car has been stored in a climate controlled
Florida garage since the restoration was completed.
The interior was refurbished with new seat covers but is still
mostly original and has great looking dash and gauges, which is a
testimony to the overall care of the car. Rolling on wide whites
and original spinner hubcaps for that Classic Corvette Americana
look.
