When looking for a Cobra replica, the build and parts used are
important. This particular Factory Five 1965 Shelby Cobra only has
4171 miles since completed. Titled as a 1965, this very nice Cobra
was built using only new parts with no donor parts. Powered by a
crate Ford 5.0L V8 engine and backed by a Tremec T5 5 speed manual
transmission. This Cobra runs and drives very well. The ease of
driving is enhanced by the fuel injection, and the power rack and
pinion steering. The fabulous sound comes form the polished chrome
side pipes. When looking under the car you will see more quality
parts and craftmanship, starting with the full custom round tube
frame. The front suspension is independent with tubular control
arms and coilovers. The 4 link rear suspension is a Ford 8.8 rear
end with 3.08 and coilovers. Stopping power comes from the 4 wheel
disc brakes. Cooling for the engine is handled by the aluminum
radiator and electric fan. The black Factory Five body and paint
are in excellent condition. Some nice touches on the exterior are
the champagne color stripes, chrome roll bar, chrome quick jack
bumpers, and the famous Lemans style gas cap. The black leather
interior is in excellent condition. Nicely equipped with bucket
seats, hand brake, AM/FM stereo, and full set of Auto Meter gauges
including tach. The details continue in the interior with the
custom door panels and leather door latch straps. Quality is a good
