Vehicle Description
This 1941 Willys Coupe is the best of everything. It's a fresh
build with vivid paint, and while the outside is wild, the inside
is a has leather-lined A/C comfort. And that shining scoop rising
above the hood lets you know the there is an awesome supercharged
powerhouse within.
This is the kind of coupe that doesn't even try to be sneaky about
what it is. The vibrant yellow paint is a modern clearcoat
application, and it has a fresh look that comes from a build that
has less than 4,400 miles on it. The quality fiberglass body was
done with no superfluous badging or handles. That's how you get one
of the most desirable designs in street machines in its purest and
sleekest form. In fact, the chrome is now saved just to show off
the coupe's best parts. It's in the classic front end with the
teardrop headlights and electric shaver grille. Brightwork also
shows off the competition-worthy Weld racing wheels with true
beadlocks. It all creates a stance and attitude that lets people
recognize from any angle that this is one powerful machine.
While the exterior is meant to be intimidating, the interior is
absolutely accommodating. It starts with a set of excellent bucket
seats finished tan leather and cloth. The materials set the tone
for the door panels, carpeting, headliner, and dash. It's
detail-oriented, and so you see cool pieces, like how the weave
patter in the door panels is also seen in the custom amplifier
enclosure in the trunk. It's the kind of thoughtful and uniform
presentation that can win awards all on its own. This is also built
with the best features, like air conditioning, power windows, power
locks, keyless entry, and even a backup camera. And because this is
a powerful coupe, it's set up to give the driver firm control. That
means a leather-wrapped sports steering wheel on a tilt column,
Lokar floor shifter, and a dash dominated by AutoMeter gauges.
The full front end tilts forward so that everyone can get an
excellent view at this awesome powerplant. And we know you're going
to want to show this one off everywhere, because we dare you to
find another piece that can be polished to a mirror-like shine. But
while the appearance is meant to draw people in, the full build is
designed to blow their doors off. That's a 355 cubic-inch V8 with a
Weiand supercharger proudly sitting on top. It inhales deeply with
dual Edelbrock 750 CFM four-barrel carburetors, and this exhales
with authority as the wrapped headers have a short journey to MBRP
mufflers before making a thundering exhaust note. This has all the
right supporting components, too, like a billet serpentine belt
drive system, steel braided lines, AN fittings, and an aluminum
radiator with dual electric fans. The mighty motor feeds into a
stout 700R4 four-speed automatic that was built with a 2800 RPM
stall to keep you in the ideal powerband. It feeds a strong Ford
9-inch rear attached to this massive Hoosier tires. As you check
out the undercarriage photos, you see a ton more great investments,
like the strong Bad Boys Willys custom chassis. Up front are
tubular control arms, the rear is a four-link with diagonal rod,
and there are adjustable coilovers behind every wheel - that's
exactly what you want in a suspension made for both the street and
strip. Add in power steering and a four-wheel power disc brake
package, and this Willys really gives you the best of
everything.
