Chevrolet Corvair Rampside Pickup Deluxe! Here is a proud moment we
are happy to repeat the enthusiast's favorite phrase. 'Find me
another one like it!' This Rampside was originally purchased by the
owner in 2008, subsequently stored a couple of years until
receiving a meticulous 2-year restoration. As inspiration Jay
Leno's Rampisde was referenced. The vehicle was torn down,
soda-blasted, and powder-coated to prevent future rust. Wherever
needed replacement panels were used. The engine, while not
original, was replaced by a previous owner with a stronger, more
powerful ZK-block. The transmission is a 2-speed powerglide with a
3.89 final drive gear ratio. This Corvair Rampside is equipped with
the deluxe packaged including brightwork, passenger visor, 2-speed
wipers with sprayers, and a cigarette lighter! As usual the cost to
restore a vehicle to this standard would far exceed the seller's
