Gateway Classic Cars is proud to present this classic 1939 Ford
Deluxe convertible at our Milwaukee location. Ford looked to
modernize the 1939 Ford Deluxe using a lower pointed grille and
higher vertical grille with horizontal dividers. The headlights
were also moved farther apart giving the front end of a wider look.
Big for 1939 was the new hood design, The "Alligator" hood opened
from the top only eliminating the hard to use side panels
completely. A big advancement on the 1939 Ford was the use of the
hydraulic brakes for the first time. Our 1939 Ford Deluxe
convertible is a site to behold. A time when the movies made all
things glamours. Including cars being built in the late 30's that
were not functional but taking on as an artform of their own. This
1939 Ford does not disappoint with its three-dimensional dark
purple paint accented by the most luxurious beige leather interior
one could imagine. The matching beige cloth convertible top is the
icing one of the most elegant cars you have ever seen. Under the
hood is a 302 V-8 is attached to an updated three-speed
transmission with overdrive. To make this 1939 convertible an
enjoyable ride are many upgrades including power steering, power
front disc brakes, air conditioning, power seat, AM/FM/CS radio,
tilt wheel, seatbelts and a modern gauge package. All topped off
with a handsome set of America Racing spinner alloys. It can't be
understated, this 1939 Ford Deluxe convertible is one beautiful
car.
