billet distributor provides reliable ignition. A big 750 CFM
Edelbrock 4BBL carb sits atop the Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum
intake and makes sure that the huge 429 has plenty of fuel at the
top end of the RPM spectrum. A QuickTime bell housing provides
occupant safety if there was a destructive clutch failure, and the
new Ram Clutch kit also has a Ram hydraulic throwout bearing. The
8.8-inch Moser Engineering rear end can handle all the power that
the 429 puts out. Fast is a complete understatement. With little to
no weight and a potent V8 up front, this thing is a rocket, and
this rocket has been very well kept and cared for over its life,
having only covered 287 miles since it was built in 2007, so it's
probably barely broken in! A big aluminum radiator with an electric
fan help keep the mill in proper operating temps. Custom
ceramic-coated headers feed into the dual side-pipes and provide
for that great throaty sound that the early Cobras were famous for.
A full set of Autometer Pro-Comp Ultra-Lite gauges help the driver
monitor critical operating functions. The 2-stage high gloss black
with gold stripes is a pleasant change from the usual
blue/white/gray color combo. Thin orange stripes border the gold
stripes, adding an extra bit of pizazz. A set of Hallibrand-style
aluminum wheels with machined silver lips and matte centers are
shod with some very meaty Goodyear "Sport Car Special" racing
tires, 26.5x8x15 up front, and 26.5x10.5x15's out back. Inside,
you'll find a spartan black interior, with fresh carpet and black
synthetic leather seats that have rarely been sat in, and Simpson
racing harnesses to keep you in place while you're out having too
much fun. This car gives you the feeling of driving a real Cobra,
but without the 6- to 7-figure price tag. When you're behind the
wheel of a Cobra, it's just you, the car and the road ahead. A true
