Garage Kept Motors.) Some call it a land yacht. Others adore its
size and styling. Whatever camp you are in, there is a lot to
admire on this vintage Eldorado convertible. There is no doubt that
this is a big car, coming in at 18' long; it would be a bad idea to
park in a 'Compact Car' spot. Once behind the wheel, and rolling
down the road, you begin to understand the appeal of a luxury car
like this Caddy. Despite its size, this is a very easy car to
drive. Power everything, easy steering, soft suspension,
comfortable seating, and a powerful V8 help make this car a great
place to be. Crisp lines painted in Phoenician Ivory make up the
exterior of this luxury convertible, in fact this 1976 represents
the last year that the Eldorado was offered, before being tabled
for quite some time. This Eldorado is in great condition with body
panel fitment being good, and all the trim being present and in
good condition. That can be a rare thing, especially the front and
rear fender extensions that meet up with the headlights and tail
lights. Inside the cavernous interior, which includes a massive
trunk, are couch-like seats with wood trim, leather door panels,
and plush carpeting surrounding them. Speaking of plush carpeting,
the addition of a Kenwood CD stereo has been made but it is mounted
in a neat enclosure that sits on the floor of the front seats.
Other interior highlights include wood trim, a large three spoke
steering wheel, and switches for power windows, cruise control,
climate control, the power top, and the power antenna. Wood trim is
even carried along in the backseat area, which is oftentimes missed
with extra opulent trim materials. Under the hood is a big 500ci V8
mated to a smooth shifting automatic transmission. In looking at
old Cadillac advertisements, we found that one of the many ads for
the '76 Eldorado said, Today a Classic, Tomorrow a Collectors Item.
That sentiment is true today, and your chance to own a collectors
Cadillac is right here with this awesome Eldorado convertible. Be
