Cincy Classic Cars is proud to offer this 1979 Trans Am which is nice restored condition with low actual miles of 68,041. This Trans Am features a nice repaint in factory Cameo White with newer decals, a restored stock interior, new tires, and the original numbers matching 403 engine, see vin stamp photo. This Trans Am is finished in the beautiful and desirable color combinations of Cameo White (code 11)over Carmine (code 74N) deluxe vinyl interior. This is the factory color scheme as verified on the trim tag pictured below.
Exterior
The Cameo white exterior is in good restored condition. This Trans Am was treated to a repaint in factory Cameo white with all new decals around 10 years ago. The paint is in good overall condition and both bumpers are in great shape with no flaking or faded paint. The paint has a nice gloss and is smooth to the touch. There may be some minor imperfections that are not noticeable in the photos, but noting was intentionally excluded from the photos. Tires are brand new and have full tread left and are sized 245/60/15 and the 15x8 snowflake wheels are OEM restored originals and are in good shape with no curb rash. All weather stripping and window sweeps are in good condition. Trunk is solid and clean with an original style trunk mat. Exterior pin stripping was added during the repaint and gives this TA a little extra pop but these stripes could easily be removed if desired.
Interior
The Carmine vinyl interior of this Trans Am has been restored to stock. The seat covers have been replaced and are in excellent condition with no major wear. The carpet is new as well with no stains, rips, or holes. The original dash is in excellent condition with no cracks or fading and the dash bezel is in great condition as well. The AM/FM stereo has been updated and it works well and thankfully the dash has not been cut for a modern stereo. The door panels have been replaced and are in like new condition and both door pulls are solid and in tact. The headliner and package tray are in good overall condition. All interior lights and gauges work as they should outside of the clock. The stereo, wipers and rear defrost also work. The horn and blower motor are not currently working. This car has not been smoked in; there is no aroma what so ever.
Mechanical
This Trans Am is in good overall mechanical condition with only 68,041 actual miles on the original 403 engine. This TA runs and drives well with no excessive rattles or noises, and the car handles and performs well. This Trans Am is a good driver that feels good on the road and at highway speeds. There is no smoke when starting or driving the car. It starts right away every time, idles well, and runs good. The brakes do not pull and stop as they should and have been recently service with new hoses, new front calipers and pads, and several new brake lines. True dual Flow Master exhaust was recently added and gives this TA and nice rumble at idle and cruising speeds. Also, the engine is clean and nicely detailed as one can see from the photos. This is a factory non AC car which really unclutters the engine bay. Car runs a little rich and would benefit from a proper carb. adjustment.
