380SL was no exception. The 380 refers to the 3.8 liter V8 that was
more emissions minded than its bigger brother. Powe was rated at
155hp while shedding 120 pounds compared to the 450SL. The 4 speed
transmission made this car much more comfortable for cruising long
trips and contributed heavily to better fuel economy. These cars
were popular when new and are regaining a lot of that popularity
