Gateway Classic Cars of Indianapolis is proud to present this 1951
Crosley Super Sport for sale! Crosley was a small, independent
American manufacturer of subcompact cars, bordering on microcars.
At first called the Crosley Corporation and later Crosley Motors
Incorporated, the Cincinnati, Ohio, firm was active from 1939 to
1952, interrupted by World War II production. Crosley introduced
several "firsts" in American automotive history, including the
first affordable, mass-market car with an overhead camshaft engine
in 1946. In 1950, Crosley introduced disc brakes on their cars.
Crosley made many different body styles from the same chassis. In
1949, Crosley introduced the Hotshot, a tiny, doorless sports car
that was highly successful in racing. A fancier version with doors
is the super sports you see here. This car will achieve 0 - 60 mph
in approximately 20 seconds- amazing for a car this size. Pound for
pound, some say the Crosley super sports is one of the greatest
sports cars ever built. This Super Sport has a yellow exterior with
red vinyl interior. 3 speed manual transmission with a 26.5hp 4
cylinder engine. Very interesting car to drive. You certainly grab
people's attention when you fly by. Recently added is a new top and
side curtains as well as tires. This is a very unique and
interesting car! This 1951 Crosley Super Sport is for sale in our
