Gateway Classic Cars of Louisville is proud to present this 1970
Dodge Super Bee! Into the late 60s muscle cars were all the hype!
Mopars were in hot demand but not everyone could afford the big
block powered cars. Sales were strong enough that General Manager
Robert McCurry decided to create a car that could appeal at a lower
price point but still crack a smile when that V8 engine did more
than idle. You know what I mean! Senior designer Harvey J. Winn
decided to enter the contest for the name of the newly designed
car. As his last name says, he won, and the Dodge Super Bee would
be produced from 1968-1971 in the United States and would forever
be an iconic classic mopar! Here we have a WM23 code 1970 model,
built March 5, 1970 with the believed original E63 code 383ci V8
and D21 heavy duty factory 4 speed! The FC7 code verifies Plum
Crazy Purple Paint on the muscular exterior and H2X9 for High Black
Vinyl Bench seat. This Mopar comes with a Galen report to boot!
Walking around the car you cannot help but admire the bold and
angular lines and the Plum Crazy just makes you want to jump in and
turn the key. Slide inside and put a hand on the wheel and the
other on the Hurst shifter and you nearly feel the engine before
you ever turn the key! Whether you want to go loud and proud or
have your significant other slide in beside you and go for a cruise
on the town, this car is certain to please! Options on this '70
Super Bee include: AM radio, spare tire, jack, seat belts, vinyl
interior, and aluminum alloy wheels w/radial tires. This 1970 Dodge
Super Bee is for sale in our Louisville Showroom and can be seen in
