Gateway Classic Cars of Tampa Florida is proud to present this
Fully Restored 1969 Toyota Land Cruiser! The Venerable FJ40 evolved
from early Toyota BJ and J20 series 4x4s. These were copies of the
classic US army Jeep during the Korean war. By 1960, Toyota had
refined and perfected their recipe for the 4x4 runabout formula and
deemed the FJ40 suitable for world export. This lovely Tan FJ40
comes to us by way of Columbia but appears to be American spec'd
with a 145hp, 1bbl, gasoline inline-six, with 3 speed manual and
4WD, with a high and low transfer case. This Truck was blessed with
a frame off restoration from to bottom, inside and out. Its numbers
matching, but the motor and trans were rebuilt and serviced. The
rest of the drivetrain had all worn parts replaced and or
freshened. It also sports new shocks, modern AC and heater, USB
stereo, heavy duty of roading Jack and Jerry can. The front
illumination has been augmented with 4 LEDs driving lights, which
compliment the upgraded bumper with a modern, heavy-duty winch. The
old factory, canvas soft-top was tossed for a new higher quality
roof with contrasting orange piping. The piping is a perfect match
for the orange wrapped front and rear seats. A combination that
catches the eye and looks period correct. With a flick of the key,
the 6-cylinder engine roars to life and pulls this little 4x4 down
the road with minimal fuss. It's a 'plucky' little truck with a
borderline agricultural feel as it takes you back to that 'only the
essentials' driving experience FJ40s are known for. It's rugged,
reliable, and has classic good looks! Everything you'd want is a
vintage 4x4! To see 100+ HD pictures and video of this 1969 Toyota
