Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is proud to offer a car that needs
no introduction, the 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Plymouth had a
system, the "Rapid Transit System" and here is an opportunity to
obtain a really clean B-Body Mopar with stunning curb appeal!
Plymouth obtained permission from Warner Bros.-Seven Arts to use
the Road Runner name and likeness from their Wile E. Coyote and
the Road Runner cartoons (as well as a "beep, beep" horn). The
Plymouth Road Runner was based on the Chrysler B platform (the same
as the Belvedere and Satellite), as a back-to-basics mid-size
performance car. This Mopar is finished in Honey Bronze with a
matte-black fiberglass liftoff hood (including "show rods" for
show) and a black vinyl top. The interior houses a matching Honey
Bronze vinyl with a bench seat and OEM woodgrain steering wheel.
The dash retains an OEM dial AM radio, but does have a few vital
modern Auto Meter gauges to keep things in check. Cold modern air
conditioning also keeps you cool on a hot summer day! Under the
hood there is a 383 cid (marketed as the "383 Road Runner" engine)
stroked to a strong 477 cid, backed by a rebuilt 727 Torqueflight
automatic transmission with a 3:55 gear in the rear. Putting the
power to the pavement are Boyd Coddington performance wheels with
Dunlop 245/45Z17 on the front and 255/45R18 on the rear, giving
this car an amazing stance! When there is this type of setup let's
also add Hydrotech power brakes with Wilwood's in the front. Beep
Beep! This 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner is for sale in our Atlanta
