Honored to present a striking, Firethorn Red, 1968 Pontiac GTO!
When GM redesigned its intermediates for 1968 with more curvaceous,
semi-fastback styling, no division had a tougher muscle car act to
follow than Pontiac. A unique feature was the body-color Endura
front bumper. It was designed to absorb impact without permanent
deformation at low speeds. Pontiac touted this feature heavily in
advertising, showing hammering at the bumper to no discernible
effect. A GTO could be ordered with "Endura delete", in which case
the Endura bumper would be replaced by a chrome front bumper and
grille from the Pontiac LeMans. The 1968 Pontiac GTO emerged as a
brilliant blend of beauty and brawn. It sustained the styling
leadership of the 1966-67 series, and its performance remained
competitive against ever-tougher rivals. Our brilliant red exterior
beauty has an equally stunning interior with white bucket seats,
white door panels, and white headliner. Black carpeting and black
dash complete the interior. If you entered this GTO in the next car
show, you might take home the prize for best looking muscle car!
