Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is pleased to present this 3-owner
1941 Cadillac 62 Series 67D Coupe Convertible. This car is in very
good overall condition and appears to have a repaint at some time
in the past. The bumpers appear to have been replated, as the
remaining emblems and trim are in good original condition, showing
minimal patina. The consignor states this Convertible is number
matching, powered by a 248-cu. in. Flat Head V-8 mated to a newly
rebuilt 3-speed selective synchromesh manual transmission, with
~5,00-miles on it. This is what GCC would consider a very nice
driver! She is painted in Black, with a Saddle power top, and Red
leather interior. The red leather interior is in very good
condition and appears to have a new quality pile carpet installed.
The car has performed well over the years and has been regularly
maintained, as it runs and drives like expected, the car doesn't
need much to be enjoyed immediately. Styling was heavily emphasized
for '41, and when new these opulent Cadillacs emerged looking quite
distinctive. The prow-nose motif of the Thirties was gone and
replaced by a blunter and more imposing frontal design that was
highlighted by a dramatic horizontal egg-crate grille - a theme
that has been continued to this day. The coffin-nose-style hood
(evidence of the industry-wide effect of Cord styling) and the
headlights integrated into the broader fenders separated it from
all Cadillacs that had gone before. At the rear the fenders show
squarer, the left taillight hides the gas-filler cap, and twin
vertical bars divide the rear window into three segments. Three
horizontal chrome ''speed stripes'' on the front and rear fenders
of this model help promote the theory of movement while standing
still. Option on this '41 62 Series 67-D Convertible includes;
leather interior, power top, am radio, spare tire, jack, hub caps,
wide whitewall radial tires. For more information or to schedule an
