Some modest upgrades were made to this car to enhance its character and performance such as tinted windows, 17” Iroc-Z style wheels, Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires, Sony stereo, Pioneer speakers, Hypertech chip, underdrive pulleys and Flowmaster exhaust. The original wheels with tires are included. This is one awesome third generation Camaro!

This car was ordered and sold new by Frank Shoop Chevrolet located in Georgetown, KY. It was ordered Bright Red with red custom cloth interior. It’s equipped with the Z28 preferred equipment group #3 which includes: air conditioning, electronically tuned AM/FM stereo, cassette tape, clock and range sound system, power windows, driver’s side power seat, power door locks, electronic speed control, power hatch, electric twin mirrors, rear compartment cover, body side moldings, color-keyed floor mats and mirror with dual reading lamps. Other options include automatic transmission with overdrive, P245/50 ZR16 tires, red custom cloth bucket seats, 5.7 350 T.P.I V8, performance axle ratio and electric window defogger. This car was sold on May 2nd, 1991 to a retail customer who lived in Lexington, Kentucky. It spent its entire life in Kentucky and sold in 2014 to a gentleman in Pennsylvania. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased the car in July of 2020 from this gentleman. MS CLASSIC CARS listed it and immediately sold the car on October 6th, 2020 to a gentleman in Wisconsin. This gentleman decided to sell the car for personal reasons and asked if MS CLASSIC CARS would be interested in purchasing it back. MS CLASSIC CARS jumped on the opportunity and purchased it back on October 28th, 2020.

MS CLASSIC CARS owner Marc Schiliro loves third generation Camaros and has had many in his collection over the years as documented on the MS CLASSIC CARS website sold inventory page. Production for the 1991 Camaro started in February 1990. Big changes occurred, as all Camaros received a facelift in the form of a ground effects package for not only RS but also the Z28 models, while the IROC-Z was no longer offered. The Z28 also featured a high rise spoiler and non-functional hood "blisters". The CHMSL was relocated from the spoiler to the top of the Hatch again like the 1986 models, except the housing was now on the inside rather than the outside of the hatch. The Convertible still retained the spoiler mounted 3rd brake light. The 1991 Z28 also received a new wheel design to accent the new body. Marc personally likes the facelift but not the new wheel design. Since this car already had some modest upgrades it only made sense for MS CLASSIC CARS to change the wheels. This car has the perfect amount of custom touches which makes it unique and “The Ultimate Z28”.

The exterior of this car is in absolutely beautiful original condition throughout. This car has a great look with the design, color and wheels. The car retains all the original Bright Red paint which was tested with an electric paint meter. The paint was recently detailed to a show quality shine. As expected with any vehicle from the early 1990’s it does have some chips that have been touched up. All of the glass was lightly tinted and looks great. Everything on the exterior such as the window trim, door handles, lights, lenses and emblems are in excellent original condition. The car sits on new 17” American Racing – OE Creations #148B wheels which look like the Iroc-Z style wheel. The wheels were wrapped with new Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 245/45/17 tires. The wheels and tires look amazing on this car and handle the road well. The original 16” factory wheels with Goodyear Eagle GT II 245-50-16 tires are included. This one sweet looking car!

The interior of this car is also in absolutely beautiful original condition throughout. The red custom cloth complements the exterior perfectly. Everything in the interior is in working order including the heating and air conditioning system. The air conditioning was converted to R134. The original headliner was sagging so MS CLASSIC CARS replaced it.  MS CLASSIC CARS also added a brand new Sony #DSX-A415BT stereo with remote control, Pioneer 4x6 speakers in the front and Pioneer 6x9 speakers in the rear. This is a much better stereo system then the factory was and has modern conveniences such as Bluetooth. The original stereo and speakers aren’t included with the sale.

The engine compartment is very clean and nicely detailed throughout. It still retains all the original factory stickers. The car is powered by the 5.7 Liter 350 T.P.I V8 engine. It’s one of only 12,452 Z28’s built in 1991 and one of only 6,080 with the 350 V8 “BL2” option. The “BL2” option was the highest rated horse power at 245hp with 345 Ft. Lbs. at 3200 RPM. It’s equipped with a Hypertech chip which requires a 160 degree thermostat that was also installed. The Hypertech chip changes the entire power curve which makes it more responsive. It’s also equipped with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and underdrive pulleys to help with performance. The engine was completely serviced as documented and runs great.  The engine breathes through a custom Flowmaster exhaust system which sounds awesome. The catalytic converters were removed for better flow. It has an AC Delco battery. The engine is coupled to an automatic transmission with overdrive. The power is transferred to the rear with the performance axle ratio.

The undercarriage is also very clean and nicely detailed throughout. It still retains all the original factory paint marks and tags. The underside is correct with the factory primer and overspray. During the service process at MS CLASSIC CARS the brakes were cleaned and the calipers were painted black.
