Vehicle Description
Bright, distinctive, and totally custom, this 1948 Chevrolet
Fleetline Aerosedan gives a super-sleek first impression from every
angle. And as you dig deeper, you're going to love how the total
package mixes vintage styling with proper small block power, an
overdrive transmission, a custom A/C interior, and so much more to
be the perfect anytime classic.
The '48 had styling has its roots in pre-WWII America, but that
vintage appeal gets updated a few generations for this full custom
build. The sweeping fenders and sleek rounded silhouette of this
Chevy's sheetmetal were made for this custom application of French
Blue and Silver Metallic. It has a modern shine that highlights the
vintage curves, and that's what this Aerosedan design does best.
And we especially love how a red pinstripe is used to divide the
two colors and really draw your eye to the sharply pointed grille
(one of the few hard-creased edges you'll find anywhere on the
whole body!) Plus, you'll love the details with the expertly shaved
trim (including door handles,) frenched taillights, frenched
license plate, sport mirrors, half-chrome headlights, and polished
15-inch alloys. And of course, before they did any of the other
custom work, they expertly chopped inches out of the roof line to
really gives the ideal street machine profile.
The interior goes for a tasteful gray, but red piping returns on
the dash and there are blue waves in the custom door panels just so
you know this is a very thoughtful and uniform build. Part of this
custom transformation was about making this classic quite a bit
more comfortable. That's why you have nice bolstering on the front
bucket seats, and they individually power adjust to your ideal
setting. The back has a well-done bench and adult-sized legroom. So
this classic is perfect for sharing with family and friends. Plus,
modern features like the AM/FM/CD stereo, cup holders, power front
windows, and ice-cold R134a air conditioning will keep them all
happy. Of course, the driver is always king. That's why you have
upgrades like the custom steering wheel with Chevy's Heartbeat
logo, a tilt column, and a crisp set of upgraded VDO classic-style
gauges.
The inner walls of the engine bay have a sleek and clean look that
funnel your attention to the polished heart in the middle. And once
again, you'll spot red striping that unites the whole build. More
than just look great, this is Chevy's hardy 350 cubic-inch V8. It's
upgraded with an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Weiand intake,
and a dual exhaust with a nice low rumble. This custom build was
meant for the road with the front suspension upgraded to a Mustang
II-style independent unit for added comfort. There's an aluminum
radiator to help keep this motor running cool, and the four-speed
automatic transmission has highway-friendly overdrive. So you can
enjoy driving this classic Chevy near or far. Plus, there's power
steering, front disc brakes, and a nice tread on the wide BF
Goodrich tires.
It's a true custom build that fits everything you could want. After
all, this Chevy is a powerful and unique street machine that can
also move family and friends around in air conditioned comfort.
