1957 Ford Thunderbird Restomod for sale! Motorcar Classics is proud
to present this extraordinary 1957 Thunderbird Restomod featured in
Gunmetal grey Metallic with red vinyl interior. The car includes a
matching Gunmetal Grey Metallic factory porthole hardtop, and brand
new black convertible top. While the car looks very much like any
other fine restored 1957 Thunderbird, look more closely and see
that the car has been upgraded with a 1992 Ford Crown Victoria
Police Interceptor 4.6L fuel-injected overhead cam V8 that is mated
with a Ford electronically-controlled 4-speed overdrive automatic
transmission. The car was custom-built by the noted experts at Fat
Man Fabrications in North Carolina and further upgrades include
front disc brakes, rack and pinion steering, Ford cruise control,
Vintage Heat and Air Conditioning, AM/FM, power steering and
brakes, and more. Everything has been integrated perfectly so that
it looks like it was built this way from new. The engine-turned
instrument panel includes a full set of gauges from the 1992 Ford
and they have been installed seamlessly into the original binnacle.
Substantial build documentation is included. This car is
well-sorted and reliable, and it drives like no other 1957
Thunderbird. In the true spirit of a restomod, this car offers the
iconic lines of the classic 1957 Thunderbird with the modern
reliability, performance, and comfort amenities that so many
enthusiasts are looking for today.
