production Camaro in history made its North American debut at the
2011 LA Auto Show. And while GM might tell you Chevy runs deep, the
compelling power-to-dollar ratio of this souped-up muscle car means
your pockets won't have to. NewCarTestDrives, December 2011 The
NewCarTestDrives writer, Laura Burstein, went on to describe the
ZL1's performance charms: Powering this rear-wheel-drive pony car
is a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that cranks out 580 horsepower and
556 pound-feet of torque, which Chevy says is good for zero-to-60
mph in 3.9 seconds. Top speed is 180 mph with the 6-speed manual
transmission, and, curiously, 184 mph with the optional 6-speed
automatic. She was equally impressed with the interior: Inside,
leather upholstery and heated seats are standard, as well as
rear-park assist with a rear-view camera display integrated in the
center rear-view mirror. The standard nine-speaker audio system has
both USB and Bluetooth connectivity. The Crystal Red Metallic over
black 2013 ZL1 offered here is an extremely well-maintained
example. Carfax documents 22 service visits-most at Chevrolet
dealerships-over its 100,000-mile, 7-year life (right at the
national average of 15,000 miles per-year). Delivered new at
Stingray Chevrolet in Plant City, Florida, the car remained in the
state until just a year ago. Its outstanding condition reflects
exceptional owner care as well as life in the warm, sunny climates
of central Florida. The finish across the car's entire exterior is
almost showroom-new, free of dents, dings, or even obvious minor
wear. The Crystal Red Metallic is a fiery choice for what really is
a hot car. From just above the front low-mounted (and damage-free)
splitter, around the optional ZL1 badged carbon-fiber hood insert,
over the moon-roofed-top, to the trunk-edge spoiler, the paint
gleams. Glass, lighting lenses, emblems, black-out window trim and
exhaust-surround are all free of obvious damage or wear. Overall,
the car shows no sign of neglect or abuse. Black ten-spoke 20-inch
wheels are shod in GoodYear F1 performance tires. Inside, the black
leather upholstery and dash feature tastefully complementing red
deviated stitching. ZL1-embroidered logos grace the front
headrests. An impressive, full analog instrument package faces the
driver. The shifter for the 6-speed automatic transmission is
console mounted. Floors are carpeted in black, and matching carpet
mats are included. All mechanical systems-including air
conditioning and premium audio-operate as they should, and control
surfaces are free of wear marks. Under the hood, beneath the large
shock-tower cross-bracing bracket, the 6.2-liter supercharged LSA
V8 engine, with its red valve covers, harbors a 580-horsepower
soul. The engine bay is spotless. In the same way, the chassis
shows no damage, with protective covers unmarred and in place. This
ZL1 was clearly adult-owned. The more than 125 high-definition
photographs of this Camaro ZL1 taken from every angle, including
from underneath, faithfully represent the car's outstanding
condition. That said, we encourage in-person inspections by
