Vehicle Description
1976 MG MGB
Presented is what MG could have produced to compete with the mighty
289 Shelby Cobras and Sunbeam Tigers of those periods.
Professionally built by a British car enthusiast and collector, no
expense was spared in keeping the original factory appearance but
with special attention paid to the drive train.
Shoe horned into the engine bay is a V8 3.5 liter Rover engine,
similar to that which powered
British Leyland's Triumph TR8. Atop the manifold sits a Holley
carburetor with special header exhaust manifolds. The V8 pushes out
200 horsepower through a 5 speed manual Miata MX5 gearbox which is
brand new and far superior to the English "Moss boxes."
The interior is all new with covered black leatherette seating and
matching carpets. The car comes with a virtually new vinyl top and
complete original tool kit. The beautiful MG "resto mod" is
finished off with a new set of 15-inch chrome wire wheels and
"knock offs" and new tires.
This MG will bring back memories of the British classics of the
60's and early 70's but with the performance to match its classic
lines and today's highway cruising speeds!
Estimate: $25,000 - 27,000
