Vehicle Description
Jeep 4x4s are nearly just as much about looking chic as they are
about being capable to handle any terrain. Not only can you do both
in this 1980 Jeep CJ7 Laredo, but you also get plenty of cool
vintage style thrown into the mix.
The Laredo was a premium package and this one instantly declares
that kind of distinction with its two-tone copper stripe kit on the
hood, fenders, sides, and wrapping around to the rear. But there's
much more to this than just graphics. The creamy white paint and
tan hardtop are a terrific color combination. It's not too nice
that you'll be afraid to enjoy this Jeep, but it makes sure this is
a 4x4 of distinction. Renegade fender flares add clearance for the
oversized tires and also gives it a macho look. This Jeep also
comes with a Superwinch X3 3001 in front and a StowMaster 5000
collapsible towing bar. In the rear are Carr steps and a full-size
spare on a swing-away mount.
Step inside and there are clear indications that this Jeep has led
a good life. The interior has been given the right investments with
updated front bucket seats with wide headrests and nice bolstering.
The rear seat has been recovered to match. The floor has brown
carpeting that feels more finished inside than some other CJs, and
it helps insulate from noise. So that makes for a nice combination
with the full hardtop and doors in place. But the proper roll bar
and upgraded rugged floor mats remind you that this one is ready to
be out in nature, too. There's even a bikini top to keep the
sunshine off your shoulders. And no matter how you enjoy this CJ,
there are great any time features, like a cup holder center
console, tilt steering column, Hurst shifter, and full gauge
package with handy tach.
Under the hood is the 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor. This is a
long established powerplant for Jeep that has proven its
reliability and continues to have easy parts availability. It's a
torquey and robust motor that also show signs of good care, right
down to the newer alternator and Optima battery. It's a
strong-runner, and the upgraded five-speed manual transmission
gives you versatile control over the motor. The two-speed 4x4
transfer case, short wheelbase, and beefy axles at both ends are
the kind of things that make these CJs off-road kings. But this one
is great for everyday use, too, thanks to power steering and power
brakes with discs up front.
Complete with owner's manual, this Jeep CJ7 Laredo has a premium
feel and true Jeep ruggedness. That's a terrific package for those
who want to do it all. Call now!
