1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS Tribute
Car History
The Chevelle ran from 1964 until 1977, but none were as sought
after as the 1966 big block Super Sports. This car we have here at
Adventure Classics is a nice running SS Chevelle Tribute with a
13617 Vin with big block power and the prowess of an SS, without
the price tag.
This car was restored and is in great condition inside and out
waiting for someone to take it to the next level. It has a big
block and has a black on black paint and interior scheme which is
one of the most desirable, bucket seats with 4-on-the-floor.
Engine & Drivetrain
This Chevelle has a 454 cubic inch big block Chevy V8 engine with
over 450 horsepower that not only sounds great with its aggressive
cam under the hood, but looks great too and has a polished
performance aluminum intake, performance electric choke carb,
aftermarket distributor, chrome Chevy factory style valve covers
and air cleaner, stainless tube headers flowing into dual exhaust
Flowmaster mufflers under the rear, chrome fuel line, March
serpentine pulleys and belt system, and aftermarket performance
plug wires
.
A 4-speed manual transmission keeps you in control of those ponies
and a 12 bolt rear end plants the power to the ground. Power front
disc brakes provide the stopping power and it also has power
steering and cold Vintage Air condition as well as heat, and it
runs cool with an aluminum radiator and fan cooling system.
Interior
The nice black vinyl twin bucket seat interior looks as new and
just like it left the factory. It has a 4-speed shifter on the
floor in the console with a white ball, a tachometer lets you keep
your eye on the revs, and both factory and aftermarket gauges to
watch what is going on with the engine too.
It also has a chrome tilt steering column and banjo wheel,
seatbelts, black carpet, matching black vinyl seat, great
headliner, and an AM/FM/CD stereo radio lets you crank up the tunes
while you cruise the streets
Exterior
Our Chevelle was built in Fremont, California back then and has
made it to our East Coast in maybe better shape than it ever was
with the refinished body bathed in a black paint scheme over its
iconic Chevelle body panels and lines.
This Chevelle has a great look with the SS 427 emblems on the hood
and trunk and in the grill, the factory twin-scoop hood, dual
mirrors, and this Chevelle has a muscle car stance that is sure to
get looks with its 18" in front and 20" Riddler wheels in the rear
wrapped in low profile black wall tires.
The chassis and underside is just as clean as the rest of the car
and the trunk is detailed with the jack, spare tire and wheel, and
the correct mats and spare tire cover.

Classics will be a great addition to your garage as Chevelles are
incredibly popular right now and we don't expect this big block SS
to stay on our showroom floor long.
