to Drive and Show This 1962 Jaguar XKE Series I 3.8 Roadster is an
absolutely stunning example that's been fully restored by Classic
Showcase and driven fewer than 200 miles since the restoration.
Black with saddle leather interior. Just out of a collection, this
E-Type is gorgeous inside and out with excellent paint, chrome, and
leather interior. Mechanically superb and ready to be driven and
cherished by its next loving caretaker. It runs and drives
fantastic and was restored with a strong running period correct yet
non-matching-numbers 3.8 motor. The car has a factory build date of
March 1962 and now carries an E-Type engine # R2527-9 with a build
date of November 1961. The 3.8 engine was rebuilt to factory
specification with new pistons, bearings, valves, guides, seals,
timing chain, head completely rebuilt, rebuilt carburetors, clutch,
all new brake parts, drive shaft balanced, restored shocks, gas
tank restored and epoxy sealed, rebuilt fuel pump, all electrical
components, gauges, knobs, switches rebuilt, rescreened or
replaced, top bows and seat frames powder coated, new exhaust
system, rear end completely rebuilt as well as the transmission.
The body was stripped to bare metal repainted then color sanded and
buffed. New rubber seals and grommets and gaskets. All the trim and
bright work has been replaced or replated, New interior, carpet,
panels, dash, and seats. This was a comprehensive restoration with
much time spent on detail and quality. Offered with Jaguar Heritage
Certificate and DVDs documenting the restoration process. This is
