1952 Chevrolet 1300 5-Window For Sale- Meticulous Four Year
Frame-Off Restoration LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1952
Chevrolet 1300 5-Window Truck Advance-Design was a light and medium
duty truck series by Chevrolet, their first major redesign after
WWII. Its GMC counterpart was the GMC New Design. It was billed as
a larger, stronger, and sleeker design in comparison to the earlier
AK Series First available on Saturday June 28, 1947, these trucks
were sold with various minor changes over the years until March 25,
1955, when the Task Force trucks replaced the Advance-Design model.
The Chevrolet 1300 5-window pickup builds on the lasting appeal of
the Advanced Design-generation of light-duty trucks. As advanced as
they were, their creators could not have anticipated their future
as classics that continue to enjoy broad appeal in the trucking
hobby. After a four-year frame-off nut and bolt rotisserie
restoration, this 1952 Chevrolet 5-Window Pickup is in better
condition than it would have been when it left the assembly line in
1952! Starting with a solid complete truck, it was completely
disassembled so the body and chassis could be sandblasted and
refinished in semi gloss black. The base/clear Forester Green paint
was then wet sanded and polished to a beautiful show quality shine.
All the chrome and trim were replated and look brand new. Stainless
steel hardware was used throughout the restoration to ensure they
keep corrosion free for years to come. The bed was refinished with
Oak boards with painted steel slats and stainless-steel hardware.
The interior of this truck is finished with the same quality and
attention to detail as the outside. The cab has been painted with
the correct Grey paint with a Brown leather bench seat and matching
door cards. The chrome dash trim has been replated and gauges gone
through and cleaned. The interior also features the original dealer
added deluxe heater, cigarette lighter and radio. Under the hood is
the 235ci Thriftmaster Inline 6-cylinder engine which still retains
its correct Delco Remy starter, generator, Rochester carburetor and
oil-bath air cleaner. The whole engine has been disassembled,
rebuilt and detailed with correct paint finishes and accessories.
Shifting duties are handled by a 3-speed manual transmission on the
column, exactly how it came from the factory. The original 6-volt
system was retained with a correct cloth covered wiring harness and
original style connectors. Having covered just over 500 miles since
the completion of the restoration, this 1952 Chevrolet 3100
5-Window Pickup presents in wonderful show condition. Included in
the sale are photos and receipts documenting the restoration. If
you are looking for one of the best show quality 5-windows on the
market, then look no further! Additional Details: 1952 CHEVROLET
