Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we celebrate our 21st year in the
classic and muscle car business. It did not take long for
Chevrolet's Chevelle to become deeply rooted in American car
culture after it was introduced for the 1964 model year. Its
popularity was widespread, due in part to the fact that a Chevelle
could be ordered as anything from an economical commuter to a
tire-frying big block bruiser. Our stunning Cranberry Red (75) 1970
Chevelle SS 454 definitely falls into the latter category, but this
jewel is much more than just another powerful Chevelle. Beneath the
hood is a numbers matching LS5 (BCN 3963512, EC T1215CRQ, CD K 24
9, VD 10K190153) that runs like the legendary powerhouse it is.
Also, the correct heads (CN 3964292, CD L 10 9 LH, L 2 9 RH),
distributor (PN 1111963, DC J 29 9), and water pump (PN 3989111, CD
K 28 9) are present. Additional factory features and options
include the SS 454 package (Z15), power steering (N40), power front
disc brakes (J50, JL2), air conditioning (C60), TH400 automatic
transmission (M40), special performance suspension (F41), 3.31:1
axle ratio with Posi (GY2, G80), correct and unusual red vinyl
bench interior (787), AM/FM push button radio (U69), and tinted
glass (A01). A period correct tilt steering column was added for
comfort and convenience. The vault-like structure of this vehicle,
conversations with former owners, and documentation lead us to
believe that the 34,265 miles showing are actual. Said
documentation includes two build sheets, original manufacturer's
statement of origin, Protect-O-Plate, and original owner's manual!
This gem runs and drives beautifully, but it really deserves to be
in a collection as the top-shelf investment it is. Street Dreams
