Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is offering this Custom 1951 Ford
coupe for sale in our Atlanta showroom. This car is a compilation
of the '51 Ford body attached to a 1994 Ford Taurus SHO platform.
You read that right - we have an older body style on a late model
driveline. The consignor states he does not know the origin of who
did the build on this unique ride - he just liked the combination
of old and new. The process involved chopping the top, and
stretching the body on the 1/4 panels 4" to make her fit the Taurus
undercarriage. She is painted in metallic orange with an orange/tan
vinyl interior. This is what GCC would consider a driver quality
paint job - as she shows well from a short distance. The hood was
optioned with the louver look - that just fits the era of the body
so well! The drive train shows 75,000-miles, and to which the
consignor believes to be original. This '51 Ford is powered by the
front-wheel-drive - 24-valve DOHC V-6 engine mated to the 4-speed
automatic transmission. The interior is custom with re-covered
bucket seats, bench rear seats, custom door panels, and console.
This 1951 Ford Coupe is optioned with; power steering, power
brakes, a/c, tilt wheel, cruise control, power windows, AM/FM
stereo, American Racing aluminum wheels, Kumho ECSTA LX P205/60R16
radial tires. Located in our Atlanta Showroom, this Custom 1951
