Gateway Classic Cars of Atlanta is very excited to offer what we
believe is a rare 1959 Plymouth Sport Fury. This very fine example
is like a time capsule for life back in the 50's! Talk about cars
with fins! This extra fine example shows very well, someone laid a
nice flat and straight black paint job, and the stainless steel
trim is in unbelievably wonderful condition, as are the bumpers,
and body side trim. It would take very little to take her to the
next level - which would make her 1 of the nicest examples you may
ever find, or just leave her as she sits - she's that nice now.
This car can be brought to any car show, and gain attention from
many - she stands out that much, you can't help but look! This
Sport Fury is powered by a 1969 383 bored .30 over, 10:1
compression, balanced, Edlebrock aluminum heads, roller rockers,
Mutha-Thumber camshaft, aluminum intake, Demon 750 carb, MSD
distributor, Flame Thrower ignition, March's Front Runner
serpentine belt assembly, mated to a rebuilt 1969 727 Torque Flight
automatic transmission with 2800-rpm stall converter, and a 1987
Camaro posi-traction rear end. The consignor states her to be a
California car, that was restored in the early 2000's, and passed
on the information he was given 2-years ago when he bought her.
This car was not only built to catch your eye, she was built to
cruise! She was gifted to some basic upgrades that just takes her
to the next level, such as 4-wheel disc brakes, p/s converted to
gearbox pump, added a new power brake booster, and of course - a
sound system. I can go on and on - but when you look her over -
you'll understand what we're trying to convey. What really
separates the uniqueness of this beauty is the front seat assembly
- looks like a bench seat - when it's actually bucket seats that
swivel - and yet you can seat 3-people up front. Why would a design
like this disappear? As stated, she was redone back to her birth
colors, black exterior, red cloth/ vinyl interior that is just as
nice as they come! Options for this 1959 Sport Fury include;
cloth/vinyl interior, a/c, power steering, power brakes, 4-wheel
brakes,am/fm/cd stereo, American Racing Torque Flight wheels, Toyo
Spectrum Touring Radial tires P215/65R15. If you're looking for a
1950's Classic with Fins - look no further - you found her! But
don't wait - as we're sure this one will not last! You can view
