Vehicle Description
***SALE PENDING*** In 1951, the Windsor became Chrysler's price
leader (entry level) and retained the styling from 1949, including
the padded dashboard, full instrumentation, and three-piece
wraparound rear window. The September 1951 issue of Popular
Mechanics reported that 98% of Windsor owners liked the padded
dash, and owners recorded an average of 14.1 mpg. We love cars
where the history in known back to day one, which is the case here.
Sold new in Sand Creek WI, this beautiful Windsor stayed in the
same family up until 2015! After sitting in storage for awhile, the
most recent owner (only the 4th overall) has taken steps to return
this girl back to the road - including a professional rebuild of
the original inline six, new wide white bias-ply tires, new
muffler, new battery, and more. Other upgrades include fender
skirts and a hidden stereo in the glove box, along with new
speakers front and rear. This 1951 Chrysler Windsor is turn key and
ready for cruising! The heater, gauges, lights and horn all work
properly, the clock does not. New interior (carpet, seats, door
panels) makes you feel like you just left the showroom back in the
fall of 1950! Headliner does have a few blemishes (see pics). One
repaint from many years back still shows very well, with minimal
bubbling and blemishes here and there. All chrome and bright work
is original and shows well for being nearly 70 years old! Here is
your opportunity to get a downright cool 50's cruiser without
breaking the bank! Road worthy and ready for your next cruise
night, car show, or family road trip (even if it is just to the
local DQ)! Reasonable offers encouraged, shipping/financing
available, and we sell world wide!
