For Sale: 1964 Toyota Land Cruiser FJ in Valley Center, California

Vehicle Description

1964 fj40 Toyota Land cruiser, ‘86 2F engine, Marlin crawl box, manual 4 speed trans, 35” tires, ready to go anywhere. Ran rubicon and Moab trails. Warn 9k wench, cryo 1 ton axles,  disc brakes all around, power steering, full cage roll bar, front and rear lockers, on board air tank, ORIGINAL HARD TOP AND DOORS INCLUDED, full best soft top, many extra parts, (heaters, axles, transmission, birfield joint).

Hi All, Marlin crawl box is separate box in between transmission and transfer case. This has separate shifting stick to engage/disengage. The Cruiser has 2 wd high range for highway travel, gears 1-4 and reverse, 4wd high range for slippy conditions at high speeds, gears 1-4 and reverse,4 wd low range for dirt, snow, high torque gears 1-4 and reverse, crawl box for extreme low range for climbing crawling gears 1-4 and reverse ultimate torque. So technically you have 12 forward gears and 3 reverse gears depending on high/low transfer case position and crawl box engage/disengaged, 2 wd/4wd position and crawl box position are all selectable. This unit will go anywhere. The lockers are Arb front air locker, dash engaged. This locks both front wheel togethers for maximum traction. Rear Detroit locker does the same automatically for the rear. So to sum it up with both front and rear locks engaged you have real 4wd, all wheels driving at all times

The unit has 35” traction tires and is housed in Valley Center, Ca. It is registered in Colorado through 2024. I have the title. All electrical devices are working. Rust is surface rust. Brakes are disc all around and work excellent so does emergency brake. 2F engine is an upgrade from a 1986 FJ60 Land Cruiser it  has increased horsepower and torque over the 1964 1F engine.

All mechanical is working as designed. I have a full soft top. Steering Knuckles stronger from FJ60 than stock.  The axles have been cryogenically hardened to create a much stronger axle, sheer strength is increased.  The long-fields and birfields are an upgrade to the original stocks axles and steering components which greatly increase suspension strength and reliability when using larger tire sizes. They also provide more HP to drive wheels.  4X4 Labs hi steer and 6 shooter steering arms-steering components designed for crawling applications providing increased strength and reliability.  Painless wiring-all electrical wiring has been replaced with a new wiring harness which includes a main power disconnect switch, (disconnets all electrical power from the battery). Detroit locker. Front and rear Leaf springs have been repositioned from bottom of axle to top of axles for improved ground clearance. This is commonly called a reverse shackle. I have installed and additional gas gauge and temperature gauge to replace the inoperable dash gauges.
