With a continuous production run of nearly 50 years, the Porsche 911 has developed, evolved, evaded execution, matured and has been transformed in a style that no other automobile has ever experienced. It is an industry phenomenon, and the fascination with this evergreen sport is still capturing new fans today as much as it did after its launch in 1963. Today DriverSource is proud to offer this benchmark example of a 73 911S.

9113300172 was purchased new by the owner of Modern Eve of Napa in Napa California, and was later acquired by Mr. Dreyer of Napa, who would retain ownership from 1980 to 2018. The 911S is said to have been driven very little in the last of those 25 years of ownership and ultimately static storage for the final three years. Upon its discovery, the Porsche was found to be in remarkably original and unrestored condition. Marque experts at Naples Classic Car would then commission a nearly year-long preservation freshening to its absolutely striking appearance displayed today. Restorative work included R&R to the entire braking and fuel systems, all new rubbers and weather seals throughout the vehicle, headlight assemblies, throttle and shifter bushings, door check and strikers, additional plastic and rubber plugs, oil and fuel lines, ignition components, headliner and interior carpeting, as well as freshening to cosmetic finishes, extensive detailing and paint correction, detailed invoices are on file. All 5 Fuchs wheels are shod with new, correct 185/70VR15 Pirelli CN36 tires.

With 71,500 believed original miles, this 911 presents very honestly for continued enjoyment or preservation display. Sections of the exterior's paint remains original, bright and glossy (see paint depth numbers) while displaying blended areas on the driver door and passenger side front fender (light color difference). The cabin is fitted with original brown leather seating and surrounds. Meticulous detailing is evident throughout the interior, down to the seat rails. A Blaupunkt Frankfurt radio is fitted, as is original trim and all original etched glass. A California emissions decal is still adhered to the left rear quarter window. Both front and rear compartments are neat with correct plaques, decals and freshened finishes in the engine bay. The luggage compartment contains a 1973 dated spare wheel, jack and vintage nose bra. A very tidy and corrosion-free undercarriage displays beautiful original finishes, as well as the 911's original matching-numbers engine and transmission.

In addition to a spring 2020, scheduled inspection, service and detailing, 9113300172 was subjected to a Porsche Classic Technical Inspection performed by Texas' only Porsche Classic Partner. An accompanying Technical Certificate verifies the car's matching-as-delivered configuration and mechanical aptitude. Production and engine numbers were also verified by expert Jurgen Barth. The Porsche drives tight and performs well as expected from such an original example, with compression reading: 150, 140, 135, 150, 140, 135 psi (140 PSI Average)

With wonderful fit, finish and preservation, the 911S is further supported by an original Owner's Manual and VIN-match Maintenance Record book in vinyl folio, Porsche pamphlets, Blaupunkt installation and warranty papers, California registration, model information and restoration receipts.

Equipped with the desired 2.4-liter flat-six "Super" engine, this outstanding purpose-built Porsche exudes a very honest character and an excellent opportunity to acquire a highly incomparable last-year ur-911.
