I sold this car 15 years ago to a collector. It is a 74,000 mile
car that was obviously well cared for. I just looked up our old
notes. It was a one owner car from California until 2004 with
original title. It won a gold spinner at Chevy Vette Fest in 04
scoring 988 points. It was also in a 2 page feature in Chevy
Performance magazine. We no longer have the documentation.
EXTERIOR: The body and paint is over 10 years old and I think it's
in excellent condition. Look down both long sides and they are
straight. The gaps around all the panels are square and flush. It's
smooth along the bottom of the car. The metal flake is laid out
evenly, clear coat is polished smooth and glossy. There is a touch
up on top of the rear 1/4 I did not see in the video. Overall the
trim is in excellent condition. Upfront the grill, bumper, bezels
are excellent. Has bumper guards front and back. The stainless trim
around the windows, wheel wells and rockers are excellent. The rain
gutter on the driver side does he have some dimples. Has bowtie
mirrors on each side. In back the bumper, taillights and trim is
all very nice. There is a touch up in the paint on top of the
passenger quarter panel. Jambs are really clean, painted very
nicely. Weatherstrips were replaced. It rolls on a set of 15x8
Corvette rally wheels with nice trim and radial redline tires.
INTERIOR: It has a very well cared for, plush comfortable interior.
The seat doesn't feel broken down at all, it has good cushion. It's
original fabric with all the buttons is real nice. Original
seatbelts front and back. The door panels match the seats and
they're completely straight, not warped, nicked or beat up. Has
factory power windows. The wood grain trim is excellent. I'm
sitting here looking at a mint dash area. The dash pad, heater
controls, gauges, knobs etc are in excellent condition. Down on the
floor the carpet is real nice. Interior lights work. The trim
pieces like the kick panels, moldings, visors are all very nice.
Headliners is tight as a drum. The mesh speaker tray is excellent
and has a rear window defogger.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Smooth running 350 motor with a few upgrades
including aluminum intake, Edelbrock carb with electric choke and
HEI ignition. The motor itself is clean, you can tell it was apart
when it was painted. There is an upgraded aluminum radiator and
auxiliary fan to keep it cool. and an auxiliary electric fan. It
features power steering and power brakes. The motor compartment is
very tidy throughout, the squirters are hooked up, the battery is
bolted down and has a cut off switch. Bottom of the hood is painted
semi gloss black, has insullation, the hinges are the proper gray
color. The metal is all smooth and clean.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Completely lined in the gray felt and has a tire
cover over the spare. It also includes the jack. The bottom of the
trunk lid and the jamb are painted very well. It has soft
weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: The starter and oil pan look new. It was updated with a
700R-4 overdrive automatic. Has stainless Borla mufflers. The rear
shocks look recent. New straps holding the fuel tank, probably
dropped the tank to replace sending unit. Overall looks to be very
solid original metal.
I got a good impression of this car- straight, tidy, well cared
for.
