The 19” iForged wheels provide the perfect stance. The exquisitely designed and hand crafted interior is comparable to a high end exotic sports car. It’s loaded with features such as push button start and power windows. The engine compartment is simple but yet sophisticated. The car is powered by a Roush Performance 427 V8 with 560hp and Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The Ford Currie 9” POSI rear end puts the power to the pavement. The undercarriage is beautifully detailed with modern equipment such as a Chris Alston Total Control suspension system and Baer four wheel disc braking system. “Copperback” is a star and will be a highlight of any collection.

Since the completion of this build the car was sent back to Ringbrothers roughly four years ago and a ton of upgrades were made. The upgrades included some exterior appointments, a complete new interior and some suspension work. From the information gathered roughly $35,000 was invested in the upgrades!

This ultimate Mustang creation began as an all-original 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that was originally from Arizona. It was the perfect candidate for the Ringbrothers build. The car was torn completely apart and sent out for media blasting. Once it returned numerous body modifications were designed and constructed. A new center body peak was made that travels from the front leading edge of the hood to the back of the trunk. The drip rails were removed and replaced with a knife-like leading edge. Gemini Technology Systems made molds for the hood and trunk lid which were made of steel. Once completed, they hand laid a carbon fiber composite material to make the final finished pieces. More than 400 hours went into both the hood and trunk lid finished metal pieces prior to molding. They also made molds for the entire lower valance which was previously designed and carved in foam for fitting. The original door handles were shaved for a smooth appearance. The lower side scoops were re-shaped which added depth. All-new steel ground effects were fabricated and added. The contour of the ground effects creates a more aggressive appearance. The original concave taillight panel was replaced with flat-panel that was overlaid with carbon fiber. This also creates a more aggressive appearance. The stock bumpers were trimmed in width and height to pull them closer into the body which matches the profile of the newly designed front and rear. New exhaust openings were fabricated in the rear lower part of the quarter panels. The side and rear floors were replaced with aluminum. The rear was mini tubbed to fit the larger size wheels and tires. The body is laser straight with excellent gaps lines throughout. Upon completion of the body the car was finished in brilliant Glasurit Copper Burnt Orange metallic paint. This is a beautiful color and dresses the car perfectly. The paint work is high show quality and absolutely stunning. The gray color on the hood continues on the front valance for a stealth look. The words “Copperback R 427 cubic inches” was airbrushed on each side of the hood. The combinations of the variety of colors on this car make it extremely sexy. All of the tinted glass was replaced new. The front windshield, side vents and rear glass trim is black. It sports custom mirrors that match the design of the car. Key parts of the appearance package are one-of-a-kind machined billet aluminum pieces. Some of these pieces include the hood vents with custom-perforated billet inserts, tear drop hood pins and bezels, cowl vents with custom-perforated billet inserts, front lower valance brake ducts, side grill air intakes, quarter pillar vent inserts, gas cap and taillights. The doors open with a hidden release button. The car has a killer stance on 19” iForged 3-piece wheels with Black powder coated centers. The front wheels are 19x8 and the rear wheels are 19x11. The wheels are wrapped with Michelin Pilot Sport tires that are 255-30-ZR19 on the front and 305-30-ZR19 on the rear. This car is the center of attention wherever it goes!

The interior in “Copperback” is truly remarkable in every sense of the word. It was exquisitely designed and hand crafted to perfection. It’s really comparable to a high end exotic sports car. It was reworked considerably by Steve Pearson of Upholstery Unlimited after the original build was completed. The black and brownish color combination complements the exterior colors. The black leather flows on the top of the brown leather throughout including the dash, steering wheel, dash and bucket seats. The rear sections of the car and roll cage are covered in the matching black leather. The headliner, sun visors and pillars are covered with a soft black material. The center of dash, passenger side of dash, center console and top of door panels are trimmed with carbon fiber. It’s even outfitted with carbon fiber door sills that read “Copperback” and illuminate in red. The door panels and center arm rest have aluminum trim accents that match the exterior aluminum trim accents. It’s equipped with custom molded Recaro seats with Schruth racing seat belts. The flooring and bottom portion of the center console is covered with custom patterned carpet that is very durable. Some of the custom interior features include Classic Instruments gauges, tilt steering column and levers, steering wheel, Ford GT switches, push button start, under dash door release levers, power windows, aluminum shifter with custom shift knob, Momo pedals and carpeted floor mats. The surround sound stereo system consists of a Kenwood head unit and Rockford acoustic audio system. The trunk compartment was boxed and covered in the matching custom patterned carpet as the interior.

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many custom touches. The engine compartment is simple but yet sophisticated. The backside of the hood is satin black and the visible hood vents look trick. The customized firewall, inner fenders and radiator support panels were also painted satin black. The hood is supported with custom aluminum hood hinges. The custom shock tower brace is truly futuristic with its modern appearance. The car is powered by a Roush Performance 427 V8 with 560hp and 540 lb. ft. The Dart Iron Eagle block was outfitted with Roush #1460 aluminum heads, Roush V eight valve covers and Roush 8-stack fuel injection system with custom air cleaners. The engine is cooled by a custom radiator, core support and fan. The engine breathes through custom Magnaflow ceramic headers and a 3” exhaust system with Spintech mufflers. The exhaust has been wrapped with heat shield to keep components cool. The engine is coupled to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission. The transmission shifts nicely through the gears. It’s equipped with a Mcleod dual-disc clutch which is easy to operate. The power is transferred to the pavement through the custom Ford Currie 9” POSI rear end with 3.55 gears.

The undercarriage is nicely detailed throughout with many custom touches. The undercarriage is definitely worthy of displaying with mirrors at a car show. The bottom of the car was painted black for durability. A custom cover was added to the rear section to cover a portion of the fuel tank. A power cut off knob was integrated within the cover.
