Here's a black 1985 Corvette Coupe with only 29,610 actual miles.
Nicely equipped and all stock, it's a great opportunity to own an
original Vette that you can drive and enjoy. Equipped with the 5.7
liter tuned port fuel injected L98 engine and 700R4 automatic
transmission with overdrive, it offers good performance, road
manners, and economy. The new for '85 TPI system provides a
dedicated fuel injector for each cylinder. C4s are luxurious as
well as sporty. All the power options are here including power
driver seat, power door locks, cruise control, rear window defogger
and heated mirrors. This example also sports the removable
transparent roof panel, and the Delco-Bose sound system. GM did
considerable work to refine the handling over the 1984 model. Even
so, Delco-Bilstein shocks were available as a stand-alone option,
and this car has them. Of course, power steering and the
traditional Corvette four-wheel power disc brakes are included. It
also looks splendid in the timeless color combination of black
exterior paint and a gray interior -- this one featuring optional
leather seating. After unveiling the radically redesigned C4 in
1984, there were significant changes for '85, making the '85 quite
a desirable car. The Tuned Port Injection system and increased
compression added 25 horsepower. Revisions to the electronics for
the lock-up convertor made it less intrusive. Suspension upgrades
such as new spring rates made the ride more comfortable and
improved handling while lowering the ride height � inch. This had
the side benefit of reducing the coefficient of drag to a miniscule
0.33. Other changes like revised instrument graphics were less
noticeable, but demonstrated Chevrolet's commitment to making the
Corvette a world class sports car. The 1985 Corvette Hatchback
Coupe stands on its own as a first-rate GT sports car. This very
attractive example in a very desirable color, with less than 30,000
miles, represents an outstanding value.
