Vehicle Description
A 1967 Mustang Fastback (or SportsRoof as Ford used to say) is a
desirable and collectible car in anyone's book. So Maxmotive is
excited to present this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback that not only
sports the iconic looks, but also some fundamental mechanical
upgrades to make this a true high performance car, and so a real
pleasure to own and drive. Let's begin with the engine, which is a
2018 Ford Performance Coyote V8. This engine has more than proven
itself with millions of miles in testing and real world
applications. The Coyote is a modern V8 design with an aluminum
block, aluminum Dual Overhead Cam Heads, and variable valve timing.
As such, its efficiency and flexibility make it feel like even more
than its already robust 435 horsepower. For the all-important sound
of power, a Mustangs to Fear stainless exhaust system with
custom-built mufflers clearly delivers the message. The Coyote
motor, when married to a Tremec 6-speed manual transmission,
creates a drivetrain with plenty of performance, efficiency and
control. That all adds up to a huge fun factor. The fun continues
in the handling department as well. The front suspension is fully
independent with forged 2-inch drop spindles, and the rear is an
all-new Heidts independent set-up with fully adjustable coilovers.
The rear brakes are mounted inboard to minimize unsprung weight and
maximize control and handling. There are also benefits you can feel
in terms of ride comfort during regular "non-spirited" driving.
Wilwood drilled and vented disc brakes all around provide the
stopping power appropriate for this level of performance. The '67
Mustang fastback is one of the all-time great American body
designs, and the mods have become almost as iconic. Mustangs to
Fear provided the high-quality composite body components. Solid
sheetmetal is augmented with new doors and fenders, then coated
with just the right shade for the paint and stripes. Clear evidence
of the level of detail on this build is that the suspension
components were painted in the body color. This protects the pieces
and provides an integrated, designed look to the car. So now that
the exterior look is right, let's check out the office. A new '67
Mustang Deluxe Interior with some modern upgrades offer comfort,
functionality, and convenience. Dakota Digital gauges work and look
great. GPS monitoring is certainly something that even the best
equipped Mustang didn't have in 1967, but this one does. Vintage
Air offers a heating and air conditioning system that seamlessly
blends with the dash, and provides trouble-free comfort in all
sorts of conditions. With Bluetooth connectivity, you have access
to a wide variety of entertainment sources. In a cabin this
comfortable, it's natural to reach for the power windows switches,
and yes, they're here, but they look like the original cranks. This
is a new car with fewer than 100 miles on the odometer. It's truly
a well-balanced build that combines appearance, performance,
driveability, and comfort in just the right amounts to offer a big
fun factor for the driver, and to be a crowd pleaser at shows and
cruises too. In summary, this 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback combines
all the necessary ingredients to make a highly desirable car
that'll earn a place on your "keeper" list.
