For Sale: 1967 Chevrolet Camaro in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

What an incredible custom build! One of the nicest paint jobs I have ever seen and a mechanical masterpiece! It drives as good as it looks, if not better! 1 finger steering and stops on a dime. 427 with 540 Horse Power and genuine leather interior.

EXTERIOR: The paint and body are absolutely amazing. The body is laser straight, the paint is high end German Glasurit base coat-clear coat paint mirror, and when I say mirror, I mean you can read the fine print on a contract from a loan shark in it! Even the unseen areas such as the jambs, bottom of the rockers, etc. are all of the same quality. The windshield was pulled and the dash was repainted to the same finish before installing a new windshield. All the weather stripping, window felts, etc were replaced. The doors and sheet metal fit excellent. They open and click shut with ease. It's a CA car with new quarters. SS Hood was re-fabricated and raised for a higher cowl. All the bumpers, door handles and chrome were replaced. SS 427 badging were added, not a real SS. Black convertible top is excellent.

INTERIOR: The interior is custom made in genuine leather upholstery. 4 hides of leather were used, even the door panels and console are leather. It has the rare fold down rear seat. Dash is nicely detailed, all the chrome knobs replaced, metal repainted. Has Dakota Digital tach and gauges, the heater controls all move freely and are operational, wipers work, classic am-fm stereo that fits in the factory hole. The top frame was dismantled, painted and detailed and a new black top was added.

ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The engine bay is very nicely detailed. New Griffin performance aluminum radiator. The engine is a 454 block rebuilt to 427 specs. Has roller camshaft, high volume oil pump, Edelbock aluminum heads and intake, GM valve covers and a 7 quart oil-pan. Quick fuel dual feed Slayer 750 carb. with K&N filter, MSD electric distributor with AL6 multi-spark box, blaster 3 Coil and MSD wires. Ceramic coated headers and 2.5 inch aluminium exhaust with Hooker welded mufflers. Transmission is a 32 spline M-21 with a large input bearing, new clutch, pressure plate and throw-out bearing. Custom built Ford 9" rear-end with 3.50 gears, hardened axles with a Chevy bolt pattern and a Detroit Locker. The entire drive-line was balanced and is running Redline synthetic oils.

UNDERSIDE: The undercarriage was completely dismantled, sub-frame removed and respectably detailed. Rust free original floor pans, new brake and fuel lines, new gas tank, new suspension front and rear. Front and rear sway bars, new springs, traction bars, Gabriel air shocks. This car was custom built for fun and they hit their mark. It is a blast to drive and is strong competition at any show. It has excellent street performance and drives effortlessly with smooth steering, easy stopping, tight shifting. A car anyone can be proud to own.

I, Brian Grams, just returned from a small road trip with this car putting just over 500 miles on it, and I could not have been happier with its performance. It was mid 80s and sunny, I drove it on average of 70 MPH for about 2 hours straight and it never missed a beat. It never got hot, would start hot as easily as it would cold, no slow cranking just popped right off. At 80 MPH you can take your hands off the steering wheel and it will drive perfectly straight. The entire car has been balanced, there was no vibrations.I drove it in packed tourist town with lots of stopping and slow driving with no issues. Plus when parked, in the sun with the top down, the tan interior never got hot to touch. This trip was surely a test of endurance and this car passed with flying colors!

I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my professional impression of the vehicle. Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do a walk around video that explains the car's condition in detail.
