Vehicle Description
This 1985 Jeep CJ7 is a cool mix of the classic CJ style with some
cool upgrades to give you a distinctive look that also still
retains that awesome go-anywhere 4x4 ability.
The glossy red of this CJ makes sure people instantly take note.
And this is joined by a well-coordinated black that seems to
highlight some of the most rugged pieces of this 4x4. There's a
sturdy steel front bumper standing guard to offer protection, and
it even has bright LED lights and a ProMark 8,000-lbs electric
winch. The side is dominated by new oversized rubber fender flares,
diamond plate rockers, and Smittybilt step bars. There's more
diamond plate protecting the rear corners. Plus, there's also a
full-size spare on a swing-away mount and a proper trailer hitch.
They all coordinate well with the black fiberglass top. The
different Renegade hood graphics and half-doors are especially cool
additions. After all, this was one of the final years for the CJ,
and so it seems only fitting that you can see some cool upgrade
inspired by its successor, the YJ Wrangler.
Inside, the red continues on the dash and roll bar, and there's
also plenty of the nice-looking black. It's on the fresh seat
covers, soft dash pad, and rugged floor. A vehicle like this is all
about the nice upgrades that add function and usability. So the cup
holder center console is not only a place to rest your arm or put
your coffee, but also there's a locking center section. The grippy
three-spoke steering wheel is on a tilt column. And the gauges now
include a cleanly mounted auxiliary set.
Under the hood is the period correct 258 cubic-inch inline-six
motor. It's a hardy Jeep motor, and this example shows respect and
care over the CJ's lifetime. It has a newer battery, alternator,
carb, distributor cap, and rotor. So it firers up with an eagerness
that will make you love this Jeep. The two-speed 4x4 transfer case
and 15-inch American Racing Outlaw wheels with deep tread tires
make for a nice off-road package. Plus, the power steering and
power brakes with discs up front are great for in-town ease. And
the five-speed manual transmission is the perfect partner no matter
if you want overdrive highway cruising or need to take full control
out on the trail.
A sleek style and cool upgrades meet the iconic classic Jeep
ruggedness you love. It's a total package 4x4 that you don't want
