Truly the last of its kind, presented here is the final Ferrari 365
GT4 2+2 built. Produced in September 1976, chassis no. 19709 would
remain in its native Italy and was delivered to Milan. By 1979, the
car had passed to an owner in Florence and the car passed through a
subsequent owner in Rome before being acquired by the current owner
in Bologna in 2016. Still wearing its original colours of Silver
over black leather, it has been exceptionally well preserved and
has seen limited use over the last 20 years.
Recently, the car has received a full service by Officina Sauro in
Bologna to bring it back to running and driving condition. The air
conditioning system has been converted to a more modern setup, and
the original radio is said to work well. New Michelin XWX tyres
were fitted (in June 2015) and the suspension was overhauled as
well. The car's electrical systems were given a check-over and the
Weber carbs were overhauled as well. Invoices from this work are on
file. While the bodywork has been refreshed over the years, the
car's interior remains untouched. The leather, interior rubbers,
and carpets show wonderful patina and can continue to be used and
enjoyed with careful preservation. Most importantly, the car has
been certified by Ferrari Classiche and retains its original
engine.
The final example of any automobile always adds a special allure,
but this 365 GT4 2+2 is also very attractive due to its
well-preserved condition, recent service, and relatively low
mileage. This would certainly prove to be a wonderful car to drive
and enjoy for the enthusiast looking to enjoy the thrills of a
carbureted, twelve-cylinder Ferrari with a family of four, a truly
significant example of its kind.
