1939 Ford Deluxe Station Wagon Resto-Mod
Offered is a pristine complete frame off restoration of a 1939 Ford
Deluxe Woody Wagon. The Woody has been modified to drive and handle
like a modern car with modern conveniences of vintage air
conditioning, cruise control, power brakes with discs on the front
and drum on the rear. The Wagon comes equipped with a Locker
shifter. Power comes from a 350 cubic inch crate engine producing
210 horsepower through an Eldebrock manifold and carburetor. The
front suspension is from a Mustang II and the rear pumpkin is a 9"
Ford.
Cosmetically the build carries a LeBarron Booney interior, with
Hartz padded canvas top. The exterior wood is new and the interior
original.
Paint is original Dartmouth green base coat clear coat. The
exterior is finished with 15x6 front and 15x7 rear wheels with B.
F. Goodrich radials. The wiring harness is from Painless
wiring.
This over the top woody was seen in the movies The Color Purple as
well as Jeremy Iron's Lolita. A spectacular build that drives,
feels and possesses the comfort of a modern car while reminiscing
from the feel and visuals of the past.
