The Commando is powered by a GM 350ci V8 featuring FAST XFI
electronic fuel injection and paired with a three-speed TH400
automatic transmission. Additional modifications made under
previous ownership include a replacement frame, Dana transfer case
and 4.10:1 axles, a Holley throttle body, oil and transmission
fluid coolers, a Saginaw power steering system, a winch, a roll
cage, aftermarket sport seats with harnesses, a Secretaudio stereo,
and more. The truck was acquired by the seller in September 2019
and has been driven 100 miles since. This Jeepster is offered with
manufacturer's literature, partial service records, and a clean
California title.
The body sits on a replacement frame and is finished in dark
metallic gray with a black-painted roof, bumpers, and plastic wheel
arch trim. Exterior equipment includes rock sliders and quarter
panel guards as well as an aftermarket front bumper with a brush
bar, a Warn winch and roller fairlead, and PIAA driving lights.
Black beadlock wheels are mounted with 33? Nitto Mud Grappler
Extreme Terrain tires, including the spare on the swing-out rear
carrier. A Saginaw power steering conversion kit was installed in
2003, and disc brakes have been fitted up front along with 11?
drums in the rear.
The black interior features a roll cage, sport seats with Simpson
Racing harnesses, carpets, and a B&M Light Truck MegaShifter
topped with a skull knob. A Secretaudio SS stereo in the center
console is connected to updated speakers mounted on either side of
the transmission tunnel.
Aftermarket instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer and a
tachometer as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature,
and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows just over 12k miles, 100
of which were added by the seller. Actual mileage is not known.
The GM 350ci V8 crate engine was installed under previous ownership
and features electronic fuel injection with a Holley throttle body,
a FAST XFI ECU, and a converted fuel tank. Additional equipment
includes an MSD ignition coil and distributor, an aluminum RadLock
radiator, a Perma-Cool electric cooling fan and transmission oil
cooler, and a B&M engine oil cooler.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a
remanufactured three-speed TH400 automatic transmission installed
in 2006, a Dana 20 two-speed transfer case, and Dana 30 and Dana 44
axles featuring 4.10:1 gears. The truck is also fitted with a skid
plates, a differential guard, and an axle brace in the rear.
The sale includes a binder containing an owner's manual,
operational literature for some of the aftermarket components, and
partial service records."
