The Alpine is the first James Bond 007 car driven by Sean Connery in the movie Dr. No and is in the movie Commando driven by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
A truly superb example of this rare classic showing a reading of 9,000 miles which is thought to be genuine.
The car is supplied with a history file showing the care and attention that has been lavished on it over the years by its first owner. I bought the car from the original owner’s family so am the second owner of this car. The Sunbeam had been stored in a garage for 30 years.
The car has had a full restoration. The body was taken back to metal, was rust treated followed by a top-notch paint job. The engine was taken out and fully refurbished.
The Sunbeam has been kept as original as possible. We have replaced the full braking system and it is now up to today’s safety standards. The car took 10 months to complete and has been gone through a health check.
New replacements - seatbelts, carpets, petrol tanks cleaned and acrylic lined, tyres, new plugs, points, new roof, etc etc. all chrome either replaced or refurbished, with everything working as it should be.
It was registered in Dublin City in April 1964 and has been in Dublin, Ireland since then.
The car is a delight to drive and will bring you back to a simpler time and it’s definitely a car that brings a smile to your face.
