#s matching motor, trans, rear and colors! Upgraded with a correct
1963 Fuel injection system. Awarded Bloomington Gold bronze
certification. The original engine #s and trim tag has been
verified. Has NCRS shipping report. The split window is one of the
most iconic collector cars of all time. They don't go down in
value!
EXTERIOR: The body appears to be in excellent shape. The doors,
hood and even headlight doors fit square. Has correct fiberglass
headlight buckets used only in 1963. Good indication the front end
is not hit because those are very hard to find. It is a factory
Daytona blue car, I think the color is gorgeous. The metal flake is
laid out evenly, has a very glossy, polished finish. Bumpers sit
level, chrome looks new. The stainless trim looks to be good
original. Has stubby bowtie mirror which is correct for early cars.
Knock off wheels and radial redline tires make it really stand
out.
INTERIOR: Overall really nice shape. Very dark blue. I open the
door and noticed right away that all the interior lights work and I
am greeted with a beautiful set of instrumentation. The gauges
appear like they've been restored. In 63 they have the silver cone
in the middle, really sharp looking. Has it's original Am-Fm
wonderbar radio, the dash pads are in excellent condition. Has the
correct 1963 only, glove box door. The glove box liner is new. The
carpet has been replaced front and back, headliner looks like it's
a good original. The seats have been reupholstered, door panels are
excellent. The original aluminum center console trim does have some
gentle wear, has the correct reverse lockout shifter. Nothing looks
abused. Because it's an early car, It has the storage tray
underneath driver's seat.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It is beautifully restored. That fuel injection
system is like art work, I would like to have that sitting on my
desk! Vin #s matching 327 motor with a correct 1963 fuel injection
unit added. The engine #s have been verified by Bloomington Gold
judges. The fuelie system is worth over $10,000. Runs strong, the
car is quick. Everything looks proper, it has the upper and lower
ignition shielding, finned aluminum Corvette valve covers, spring
clamp battery cables etc. It features power brakes. Original
intake, carb and filter are included.
UNDERSIDE: Respectable, proper. Looking up at the motor and trans,
they look fresh. The Chevy orange paint, starter, fuel pump is new
looking. The bell housing, 4-speed and shift linkage look new too.
It's a vin # matching Muncie. Original 3.08 posi in back. Exhaust
system looks new. It has been maintained, I see recent bushings,
brake hoses etc. The fiberglass floors and spare tire carrier look
to be damage free. Frame is solid.
This is a gorgeous looking split window that has been certified,
the fuel injection is a bonus! There are 3 collector cars that
stand out to me as being the most recognized: 57 Chevy, 59 Caddy
and 63 Split Window. Timeless classics.
