Vehicle Description
This 1972 Chevrolet Chevelle has a dark and mean look, and it can
back it all up with supercharged stroker V8 power. But more than
just brute force, as you dig deeper, you're going to see a custom
long-term build that knows how to cruise comfortably and give you
all the luxuries you want, including a custom A/C interior.
This one has a very cool midnight hero look. The deep black paint
gives extra intimidation on places like the grille, cowl hood, and
fastback profile. It's a single-stage application to give this more
of a street machine attitude. So the paint has a fun distinction
today, or you can take the super-straight sheetmetal to the next
level whenever you like. The reason for such a unique creation is
the consignor is also the builder, and it has been a decade-long
labor of love. You can see the difference in the attention to
details, right down to the clear headlights and new glass. And the
chrome looks excellent on those form-fitting bumpers. So the shine
goes nicely with the 18-inch American Racing Torq Thrust
wheels.
Open the door to a fresh full custom setup that continues the dark
heart theme of this performance coupe. This build is exceptionally
thoughtful, and you see it in the custom coordinated pattern of the
door panels, headliner, carpeting, and seats. And speaking of the
seats, those dual buckets are finished in supple leather and suede.
They provide better bolstering than you ever got in the 1970s, and
their low-back design also helps give this Chevelle an awesome
unobstructed hardtop profile. Plus, the upgrade to power windows
means you can easily show this off the pillarless look whenever you
want. Other great comfort features include ice-cold air
conditioning, a custom cup holder center console, upgraded sound
deadening insulation, power locks, and a Viper alarm with keyless
entry and remote start. The stereo is an upgraded AM/FM/CD unit
featuring modern Bluetooth and a speaker system with a full custom
trunk subwoofer enclosure. Of course, this was also built to be a
driver's machine. That's why you have a sports steering wheel on a
tilt column, power steering, a B&M QuickSilver shifter, and a
full upgraded Dakota Digital gauge panel. Plus, the rear seats have
been replaced with a custom parcel shelf. It's the ideal place to
mount the carbon fiber nitrous bottle (the sale comes with the kit
to complete the pluming to the engine.)
Under the hood is a true beast of a motor. But it's also a fresh
beauty since the low odometer reflects the mileage on this
powerhouse. It's a tidy setup that's dressed it to impress in
places like the polished dual plenum air intake, steel braided
hoses, and March chrome pulleys. And there's serious substance
behind the style. This 383 stroker V8 with the unmistakable look of
power from Holley four-barrel carburetor feeding the B&M 144
blower. It has aluminum heads and full upgraded internals (rods,
pistons, rings & crankshaft) all to help deliver a motor that was
built for big power. Ceramic-coated long tube headers add to the
muscle while also contributing to the thunder of the Pypes
three-inch dual exhaust. The power is sent to a new three-speed
automatic transmission with G Force crossmember, and that feeds a
new driveshaft on its way to the 12-bolt Positraction rear end. The
suspension is a true performance setup with a full BMR Suspension
upgrade, Moser axles, new bushings, Nitto NT555 G2 performance
tires, and four-wheel power disc brakes.
The sale not only comes complete with the equipment to complete the
nitrous system, but also a Snow Performance water/methanol
injection kit. Oh yeah, this is an amazing custom build, and there
are also a ton of receipts to prove it. Rarely do you get an
opportunity at someone else's detailed labor of love. Call
