Vehicle Description
This 1969 Ford Mustang is all about taking one of the most
aggressive fastback styles of the first-gen cars and adding serious
performance. It's been fully restored to include an upgraded
suspension, four-wheel disc brakes, six-speed stick, and a 600hp
Ford Racing V8. So yes, this is the ultimate muscle pony car.
This car was fully restored to make the instant appeal of it was as
clear as black and white (literally). So the body was stripped down
to bare metal, the panels were massaged, and then Ford's famous
Wimbledon White was laid on top with a careful hand. Contrasting
this nicely are aggressive black details, like the hood scoop, deep
chin spoiler, blacked-out grille, hood tach, slotted rear window
cover, and full-width rear spoiler. We'd tell you how pristine the
chrome on the bumpers are, but that's not the shiny piece that's
grabbing all of your attention. No matter if you're standing still
or cruising the streets, everyone immediately focuses on the light
coming off those large 17-inch Torq Thrust polished alloys.
From the moment you open the door, this custom pony car instantly
announces it's ready for action. It starts with the Corbeau racing
front seats with Simpson five-point harnesses. You also have a
smaller diameter Grant sports steering wheel, a mounted fire
extinguisher, and four-point racing bar with removable harness bar.
There are upgraded auxiliary gauges, and the hood tach is the
original head-up display. Even the trunk shows a custom fuel cell
and an Optima red top battery for better weight distribution. But
more than just a competition-ready package, you're going to see a
solid investment in making this look and feel good. The dash, door
panels, carpet, headliner were all part of the restoration
investment. There's an AM/FM/CD/XM stereo upgrade, but really, we
know your favorite soundtrack starts under the hood.
The engine bay has a clean and mean look of power. Bright white
inner walls, shining Ford Racing valve covers, and a proper air box
sealing the intake to the fresh air hood scoop will all get your
enthusiast blood pumping. It's a Ford Racing 514 cubic-inch V8 that
has been enhanced and fortified with Cobra Jet aluminum heads,
forged aluminum pistons, Eagle connecting rods, roller camshaft,
Canton 8-quart racing oil pan, MSD ignition, March pulleys, an
Edelbrock Torker II intake, and topped with a Holley 850 CFM
four-barrel carburetor. This mighty V8 exhales Jet-Hot coated long
tube headers that feed a 3-inch dual exhaust with Borla mufflers.
The full package is stated to make 600 horsepower and 590 ft-lb of
torque. You take full control of this powerful V8 with the Richmond
six-speed manual transmission that includes a hydraulic clutch and
a Lakewood scatter-proof bellhousing. The Patterson Performance
driveshaft feeds a Currie 9-inch rear. This is a reinforced unit
with 9+ race case, 31-spline axles, and a Gold Trac differential.
So this one has all the right hardy component to really deliver the
power to the pavement. As you look underneath, you're going to spot
upgrades like the TCP tubular A-arm front suspension, TCP frame
connectors, Koni shocks, TCP power rack & pinion steering, and a
Baer four-wheel power disc brakes kit with drilled & slotted
rotors.
There are a ton more details that we just don't have all the room
to go over. We even have the build receipts documenting over $60k
it takes to get a powerful pony like this. So call us today for all
the info on this serious performance custom.
