CMC is proud to have this 1968 Chevrolet ElCamino in our new
showroom. The truck is powered by a 396 Turbo Jet V8 and backed by
a 4 Speed Manual Transmission and a Positraction rear end. Many
awesome upgrades and a full blown restoration makes this one neat
hot rod.
Restoration of the beautiful ElCamino Started at the frame and
every up was rebuilt. The chassis was painted and all new
suspension was installed, The body was expertly painted and looks
great. All new chrome, new SS emblems were added during time of
restoration. The interior was not left out and was fully restored
as well with new headliner, seat covers, carpets, sunvisors, door
panels, door sill etc. The 396 engine is casting number 3969854 and
has been rebuilt .30 over. The motor is fed by an edelbrock
polished aluminum intake and a 750 Holley Carburetor. A new
Alumitech radiator keeps this monster cool on hot days. The car has
upgraded Power Disc Brakes, Upgraded Chrome Power Steering pump,
and pulleys. The car has Patriot header automatic cut outs the
creates open headers with the touch of the button. Open the headers
and turn heads at the local cruise night. Restored rally wheels
sets off this trucks looks. The original radio has been updated
with modern internals and sounds great. The receipts are included
with this sale.
Mechanically this ElCamino is an absolute blast to drive. The 396
engine is very reliable and has an awesome sound. The 4 Speed
manual transmission shifts flawlessly. The positraction rear end
grips well. The updgraded disc brakes making stopping very
comforting. All of the upgrades and meticulous maintenance ensures
many years of enjoyment.This truck is an absolute blast to
drive.
