delivery checklist and temp tag. Also has Ford dealership
maintenance receipts, owners manuals and Ford cassette.
EXTERIOR: Wow, the first time I seen it I was expecting red, this
is a vibrant metallic red. It's a gorgeous color and very glossy
clear coat. The body is flawless, no dents or damage. The paint is
practically flawless. I found a nick on the front bumper the size
of a pencil tip. The glass, headlights, rubber is mint. It has a
tan cloth convertible top in excellent condition. The Cobra is
dressed up with the dual hood scoops, Cobra emblems, rear spoiler,
ground effects and fog lamps. It also has 17 inch alloy wheels. The
clear on the wheels has some minor corrosion. It still has it's
original Competition T/A tires.
INTERIOR: I'm sitting in the car and boy, for such a sporty car it
is rather luxurious. This seat is very comfy. All leather
upholstery and the steering wheel is wrapped in leather. Full set
of white face gauges, has a center console with a 5-speed shifter.
It has all the power accessories like windows, locks, mirrors,
lumbar, top and trunk. Has cruise control on the steering wheel. It
has the optional Mach stereo system with cassette and CD changer.
In the glove box is the leather pouch with the owner's manuals and
the Ford cassette tape still sealed in plastic. It is in excellent
condition. The light carpets are not stained, lighter and ashtray
have never been used. It even still has an original operating
sticker by the window switches.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The all new motor was worlds apart from the 5.0
used in previous years. This 4.6L all aluminum, hand assembled
motor features dual overhead cams, withstands high revs and ushered
in a new era of performance. It still looks factory fresh. Very
cool looking intake with the cobra on it. It also has the sticker
on the valve cover signed by the two people that hand built this
engine. It still has original Motorcraft hoses and correct clamps.
It also has a tubular support bar bracket.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Inside the trunk compartment is like brand new.
Fully lined, underneath the floor is the original spare and jack
that's never been used. It also includes a car cover, the front
license plate bracket that's never been installed and the bag for
the convertible boot.
UNDERSIDE: Performance handling includes special springs, gas
struts and shocks. It has power rack & pinion steering and a quick
ratio steering box. The factory exhaust system is stainless. Has
5-speed trans and traction lock rear end.
This is a desirable and collectable performance car. It's all about
timing, the age group that remembers this car can now buy it. It is
a great investment. Yes you can park it and not put any miles on
it. You could also enjoy it on nice days, a few thousand miles will
not hurt the value.
