Body off the frame restoration. Very desirable 57 Chevy Bel Air
hardtop, probably the most iconic car of all time. This one is
updated with modern reliability and performance.
EXTERIOR: Striking looks. The color pops, the trim sparkles and the
style is timeless. The body is clean and straight, I don't see any
bubbles, cracks or issues. The paint is polished out very, very
glossy. Jambs are painted nice. All the trim is new. Upfront the
entire grill, headlight bezels, bumper and hood rockets are new.
Down the sides the trim, door handles and mirrors are new. The
stainless all around the windows are new and polished. In back it
has correct dual antenna (passenger side is power), new bumper trim
and gold license plate frame. Has LED tail lights. All the glass in
the car has been replaced. New gaskets and weatherstrips. Dressed
up with a set of polished wheels,18s in front, 20s in the back.
INTERIOR: Custom upholstered seats with 57 Bel Air embroudered on
each seat. Door panels upholstered to match. New white headliner
and visors. Carpet was replaced, reproduction floormats. Dash area
is repainted, trim was replaced. Has Dakota Digital gauges, 59
Impala steering wheel and a retro stereo with aux plug. Has 6x9
speakers in back. Climate controls look original but are upgraded
from cables to electronic levers.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Wow, that's what I said when I opened the hood.
The entire engine compartment and under the hood is painted the
body color and it's smooth and glossy. I see a bunch of stainless
steel hardware and chrome. At the heart of it is a 5.7 350 motor
with aluminum heads, polished aluminum Tune Port Injection with
chrome intake. Has chrome plated aluminum valve covers. The front
of the motor has the billet aluminum brackets, pulleys with
serpentine belt system, an aluminum one wire alternator and a
polished a/c compressor. Has 605 power steering with polished
reservoir and stainless hoses. The power brake booster and master
cylinder are chrome plated. Has an upgraded Griffin aluminum
radiator with dual electric fans and a polished overflow bottle.
Also has an MSD ignition.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean metal that's been painted body color. Has
new weatherstrip and correct rub er mat. The jack is restored.
UNDERSIDE: The bottom of this car is all clean metal painted the
color of the car. Frame and chassis components were rebuilt and
painted black. Upfront the steering and suspension was rebuilt. New
body bushings. Bottom of the motor is clean, has high torque
starter. Updated with a 700R-4 overdrive automatic. 10 bolt rear
end in back. New fuel system- tank, sending unit and lines. Brake
system was rebuilt, updated with disc in front. New lines and
hoses, e-brake cables are hooked up. Has a great sounding dual
exhaust system.
This Bel Air will turn a lot of heads. That's because it looks
sharp and you can be out driving it all the time. Vintage style,
modern upgrades!
