There has been a solid investment all around this coupe. It starts
with a nice first impression made by the paint. The color is quite
close to the 1966-correct Mist Blue, so it gives this Nova a nice
classic look. But the modern clearcoat luster is also an instant
signal that they upgraded this one in the best ways. We like these
Novas because they have a very straight and clean look, and the you
can easily see there was an investment to make sure the sheetmetal
retained this correctly. Plus, this was the debut year for the
second generation. It's when Chevy perfectly added some of Chevy's
'60s-style muscle car aggression but not going overboard. The
subtle overhang of the front fenders, the sporty kick-up in the
rear ones, and the fastback roofline are all attractive without
being too brazen. And you get all the correct vintage Nova details
like the right Super Sport badging, full rocker trim, and
wraparound chrome bumpers front and rear. And the addition of those
US Mags 17-inch alloys are a nice reminder that there are more
upgrades within.
There was another solid investment inside to keep the
factory-correct black interior looking good and feeling fresh. It
has a premium feeling with the plush carpeting, nice headliner, and
the bright trim on the taut door panels and bucket seats. Even the
trunk is nicely finished. It has the right comfort features, like a
cleanly installed AM/FM/cassette stereo and the classic
heat/defrost setup. But what you'll love the most is how this is
upgraded to be a full driver's machine. The dual-spoke sports
steering wheel gives you a clear view to the added Sun readouts for
water temp, oil pressure, and tach. And the Hurst shifter coming
out of the center console not only has a crisp action, but also
there's a big red button for when you want serious power.
The engine bay is ready for primetime. The clean inner walls funnel
all your attention to the shining V8 in the middle. They really
made such a big investment in polished components that we dare you

go-fast goodies like a mild cam, aluminum heads, Holley four-barrel
carburetor, and a wicked set of long tube headers. Plus, the red
button on the four-speed shifter is the trigger for a nitrous shot

full serious performance package with tubular front A-arms, front
disc brakes, subframe connectors, traction bars, and a Ford 9-inch
rear.
