For Sale: 1972 Chevrolet C10 in Lutz, Florida

Vehicle Description

Sometimes the best muscle car is really a truck. This frame-off restored 1972 Chevrolet C10 stepside pickup has a sleek shine, upgraded bucket seat interior, four-on-the-floor, and a 400+ horsepower V8 to deliver serious power to the streets.

The red paint has a fantastic presence in the sunlight with a luster that comes from an investment in quality. And this paint also helps to highlight the crispness of the well-done sheetmetal. In fact, this truck completed its frame-off full restoration only about 2,500 miles ago, and so you're going to find plenty of fresh details everywhere you look. Mirror-like chrome bumpers, new grille, and glossy oak wood in the truck bed all know how to grab your attention. There's even a proper trailer hitch with wiring plug to make sure this Chevy is available for real truck duty. So at first glance, this one just looks like an awesome classic, and it's a bit of a sleeper hiding the real power within. But as people take note of the big dual exhaust tips and shining wheels inspired by a '67 Corvette, they get hints at the beast inside.

There's a fresh interior where the bold exterior red returns, and now it's joined by a deep black. It has a nice vintage feeling in the details, like the C10's hallmark western-style pattern in the door panels. They even integrated updated features, like the upgraded sliding rear window and the retro-style radio that's a modern AM/FM digital tuner. But the real star of this are all the driver-oriented features. The seats have been upgraded to high-back sport buckets finished in leather. In-between is a cooler armrest center console. The classic Chevy sports steering wheel has a red comfort grip, and it's mounted on an Ididit tilt steering column. This gives you a clear view of the full gauge package. And the upgraded AutoMeter tach goes particularly well with the Hurst sports shifter.

The engine bay has the clean and bright look of a big recent investment. The callout on the air topper informs everyone you've got a 383 cubic-inch stroker motor, and this crate V8 was built for performance. It includes aluminum heads, a hi-rise intake, Holley four-barrel carburetor, and Hedman headers. The full package is rated for about 425 horsepower, and the growl of the dual exhaust lets everyone know it. Plus, this big power is supported by the right components, like Painless wiring, dual electric fans, and March pulleys w/serpentine belts. A new Richmond T10 four-speed manual transmission with a Lakewood bellhousing gives you firm control over this monster motor and its rumbling soundtrack. This feeds an Auburn 12-bolt Positraction rear end with 3.42 gears for confident all-around driving. As you look at the undercarriage photos, the powder-coated frame and overall tidy presentation are another reminder of how few miles are on this since its full restoration. Plus, you'll spot front disc brakes, power steering, and the trailing arm rear suspension that all make it easy to enjoy this powerful C10 on the road.

Complete with service manuals, this is a fresh build of an awesome and powerful custom pickup. So if you want a classic truck that's a well-done total package, call today!
